WOW BIBLE COLOR
There is a lot to like about the “WOW Bible Color”, but there are a few crucial areas that could be improved upon.
The narration is clear and the ear buds are nice. However, one of the biggest flaws about the WOW Bible is the inability to mark the place where you leave off in narration. The device does have the ability to book-mark, but it only allows you to mark one verse at a time. When the verse is marked, you cannot go above or below that particular verse to gain the context.
There are some cool features such as the music, movies, PDA, task list, memos, contact list etc. The mp3 download feature allowed me to download sermons from Gospel preachers and music. The search-ability feature is also very nice, but is not exhaustive. I like the fact that you can increase the font size.
I was disappointed by the fact that this unit does not contain The Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance to the Bible with the Hebrew and Greek definitions. This important study tool would really improve this wonderful device. I hope that Kingneed will provide a product update which includes this feature or come out with it in the future. The Smith’s and Easthon’s Bible dictionaries are included, however, it would have made more sense to have included just one dictionary and the Strong’s, providing for exact interpretations of words and exhaustive word search.
The battery is internal and I wonder what happens when it goes dead. I hope that it can be returned for a new one.
The last thing I feel could have been improved upon is the “Wisdom” and “Exam” sections of the Bible. The wisdom section is somewhat of a topical section except it does not quote the book chapter and verse. For example, if I click on “Belief”, it paraphrases the verse instead of quoting it in the version I bought (KJV). It reads “Don’t be afraid, just believe.” I suppose that wouldn’t be so bad, if it allowed you to go to the verse and read it for yourself, but it doesn’t tell you where the verse is located in the Bible like the much less expensive “Go Bible” does. It would be nice to know if the wisdom I am getting is truly from God and not just man’s interpretation. Also it would help if one could look up the verse in the exam section to check your answers.
All in all, this is very nice to listen to and has some great features. I would have gladly rated this five stars if the Strong’s exhaustive concordance were included.
